Looking Back at 2025: Steps Toward Economic Resilience
The Borough was approved for a $72,000 Strategic Management Planning (STMP) grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development to establish short- and long-term financial objectives and bring us back into a sound financial position.
Funds from the STMP grant cover services from a consulting firm, Keystone Municipal Services (KMS), to work with the Borough to develop and adopt a comprehensive multi-year plan to achieve structural budgetary balance. In the near term, KMS has analyzed historical financial information, collaborated with Borough staff, participated in discussions with the professional financial team, and developed a preliminary analysis of the cash position to help the Borough manage a critical cash flow situation and adopt a 2025 budget that begins to address the structural budgetary imbalance. This is the first step to strengthening our finances and building a stronger, more resilient community.
